Message from the Editor
Welcome to the Winter 2026 Edition of the BIPLA Newsletter.
The BIPLA marked the beginning of the 2025-26 program year with a convivial Annual Meeting at the Harvard Club, electing its new slate of Officers and Board Members. We celebrated the winners of the annual Writing Competition, whose enlightening papers are published in this issue of the Newsletter.
Our committees and membership have had a busy winter season. The BIPLA welcomed two delegations hosted by WorldBoston, held events on Japanese patent and trademark law, held after hours meetups of the In-House Committee, and gave an introduction to careers in IP law to area law students.
In March, we celebrated this year’s Honorees at the 15th Annual Invented Here! Event at the Cambridge Innovation Center, an account of which is included in this issue.
I would like to thank BIPLA’s Events and Communications Manager Spencer Jawitz for his help in compiling and publishing this issue of the Newsletter.
